ABOUT THE ROLE

Want to be part of a great national leadership team?

This is a senior position in our highly motivated Auckland team, where you’ll get involved not just at a local level, but also have the scope and opportunity to really add value nationally through our forward thinking leadership initiatives.

Partnering with a range of clients across both public and private sectors, our portfolio of work includes a variety of high value, complex projects.  This position will have a particular focus on design management, so we’re looking for a high calibre individual who can bring well developed design management skills to the team.

Offering plenty of challenge and opportunity for growth, you’ll interface with key clients and stakeholders, and get involved in business development initiatives. You’ll be supported by a high calibre team of Project Managers and enjoy having the opportunity to give back through coaching and mentoring the next generation.

ABOUT YOU

With demonstrated experience in project management and a wide range of commercial construction and fit out project experience at a senior level, you will be able to lead a team through all stages of project delivery, and be respected as a trusted advisor to your clients. You will have the ability to challenge concepts, resolve problems and provide solutions. A great communicator and advocate of collaborative working environments, you’ll possess a “can do attitude” where no project is too big or too small.

You’ll be able to demonstrate:

  • Extensive Project/Construction management experience across property sectors.
  • Diversity of experience, ideally across retail, base build, commercial development and commercial fitout projects.
  • Strong leadership coordinating design and technical teams.
  • Detailed knowledge and the preparation of robust contract documents, correspondence and reporting. Experience with NZS3910 contracts.
  • Strong understanding of relevant New Zealand building regulations and legislation and a strong focus on health and safety.
  • Expert design and construction programming, Gantt charts and financial management Strong computer literacy including project management tools.
  • Highly organised with good time management / people management skills.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in construction/architecture or similar
