David Hopkins Promoted to Project Director

We are pleased to announce David Hopkin has been promoted to Project Director within our Christchurch team.

This well-deserved promotion speaks volumes for the success he has achieved for our clients over the last three years. Success can mean many things; for David it’s about problem solving, thinking outside the box and delivering beyond client’s expectations. Those attributes saw David invited to be a TBIG Employee Shareholder in 2018 and he was also recognised in the 2018 NZIOB Consultant Awards as runner up in this inaugural awards category.

David has successfully led a number of key projects in the education and aged care sectors. A highlight was the Rakahuri project for Rangiora High School, which won both a  NZ Property Council award and a NZ Commercial Project Award in 2018. On a personal level, David’s young Rangiora based family will benefit from this fantastic learning environment in the coming years. David also represented the Ministry of Education on the close out of the Wakatipu High School PPP2 new build project in Queenstown. The strength of his commitment on this project sees David now working on the Christchurch Schools PPP3 new build project for Avonside Girls / Shirley Boys High School in Christchurch. David also worked with Arvida to deliver the Living Well Park Lane Apartments, a flagship retirement village facility for Arvida in the heart of Christchurch.

David offers over 18 years’ experience and has a strong background as a Chartered Building Surveyor. His wide sector expertise includes education, commercial, retail, warehousing, retirement, residential and tertiary projects. David has well and truly delivered on the potential we saw in him when he joined us in 2015. We congratulate him on this key promotion and welcome the leadership he will bring to the very strong senior base that we have built in Christchurch.
